It has literally taken me an hour to try and fix the internet centers connection problems I am just now obtaining somewhat of a connection haha India has for sure been the roughest and hardest place I have been on the race so far. the language barriers are killing me I'm usually a guy who can very easily go with the flow but here I have not had a set schedule for anything and its a little challenging as a leader. As we were flying into India you could feel the climate and smell of the air change. we landed in 108 degree weather with a chance of nothing but heat and sweat. Showers serve no purpose here because you walk around in sweat all day. not to mention the shower is in the same place as the squatty potty a.k.a. hole in the ground. sweat is dripping on my notebook even now as I write this blog. Most of the team is sleeping on top of a church roof where it is coolest at night but my tent broke last month and my sleeping pad wont hold air so I sleep in the church with a fan that cuts in and out when we loose power. It's crazy to me to know that some people here have never even heard the name Jesus Christ. Our mission this month involves evangelism in hindu villages all over India we travel daily in a rickshaw that seats 7 including the driver that we somehow manage to cram 12 into. Prayers are getting answered as we see people turn form their Hindu Gods and worship a true and real God. We are truely a light in a dark place we are the only Americans for miles we stick out pretty bad but I know we are planting seeds everywhere for His glory! I ended last month leading team pharos but now start a new month leading team 341 which stands for 3 guys 4 girls 1 mission. It is amazing to watch how we operate I know God is going to use this new team to make a massive impact in the ministries we partner with! India is full of so much spiritual warfare I have heard of people worshiping everything form idols to monkeys. A man just now walked by the church dressed in a very colorful outfit wearing a bright mask with massive lips and a monkey tail…..like what God would call someone to wear that? its very confusing but really eye opening to see a culture like this. I have never experienced anything like this before. This has been the first place I have began to experience cultural shock. This month so far has been a challenge but not a challenge this new team cant handle we have come together united in prayer knowing that God is at work and we are all apart of His amazing plan. Please check out my teams blogs they go into further detail on what we are experiencing here I have to quit writing because my internet is failing and we are loosing power but God Bless You and thank you for reading!
