What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to
the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I
have lost all things. I consider them rubbish that I may gain Christ.

I recently just got back from training camp, which lasted nine
days, and it was incredible! The Lord really moved on all of us and there was a
sense of bonding that I have never experienced before. I am in a squad of about
40 people from all over the U.S. and I was placed in my team of six people. I
will be traveling from country to country with my squad, and then when we reach
our countries I will be with my team serving whatever ministry that we are
assigned to for the month.

Two of my awesome teammates! Two of my Awesome teammates!

I am very excited about my squad (we are the T squad if you look
through my pictures you will see us) and I am very excited about my team of six
who will basically be my family for the next eleven months. The Lord really
bonded us in an unreal way and I feel as if I have known everyone in my squad
for many years.

During camp we learned about the different cultures we will be
visiting, and we also learned what offends people and what does not. An example
is in India you are not to use your left hand because it is considered dirty
and disrespectful if used (I am assuming you use the left hand when using the
bathroom). Each day at camp was a different culture day such as Africa day. For
breakfast, lunch and dinner we would eat the actually food that we will be
eating in Africa. It was an awesome experience trying out different foods and
learning about the types of people we will be living with.

Training camp has really motivated me and given me a more clear
vision of what I will actually be doing. We heard many testimonies of people
that have done the World Race and almost everyone that spoke left us all in
tears. They described the hard things we will see and encounter throughout the
race. Such as many orphans and women who have been involved with sex
trafficking that we will be working with. I know this experience will be a life
changing one for me and I just want to thank everyone for their prayers and
support.
