Simple FactsSome areas of East Africa like Uganda are very kind and are very hospitable. They are very polite people who will offer me Chai Tea at any time of the day. There is a huge concentration of poverty in East Africa, probably the most in the world. Running water, plumbing and electricity are necessities that are lacking in these countries. And much like Asia there are only Africans here, so white people also stick out. I can’t walk through the streets with our children yelling “Mzungu” which means white or foreign person. There is a lot of oppression on women. They are looked down upon
because they are simply women. In countries like Tanzania, it is ok for a man to beat his wife because many Africans would just look away.
Spiritually
East Africa is heavily influenced by Christianity. But like the Western world it is more of a cultural pursuit then a radical life for Christ. In Kenya over 80% of the population claim Christianity but it usually seems to be just a statement. The radical Christians, though, take it seriously and aren’t afraid to share there faith. Evangelism was our main ministry here because that is the most effective way they share their faith. The Christians are very passionate and on fire for the Lord. The spiritual
realm is very present here because of the use of witch doctors. Usually the witch doctors, who think they are doing good, cast evil spirits into people. At revival meetings or just at church on Sunday, Christians spend lots of their time casting out demons and setting people free.
Africa needs your help.
They need people to stop poverty and provide good living conditions.
An evil spiritual realm is present and is needing to be filled with the Holy Spirit.

PRAY against the hold of the devil in these areas and people.
