June 30th: 
We got together and had a Drama/Dessert Fundraiser for my trip. It was
so much fun. I wasn’t sure what to expect so in the end I expected nothing. I raised $340 and there was a great crowd that came to watch this amazing event. I want to thank you all who helped me in making this thing possible.
A friend in the drama said that we might do the same thing again with
two other churches he is apart of. I am praying that those
opportunities present themselves and we are able to do this again!
July 1st:greatest birthdays ever. I had to work on my birthday but I didn’t mind
at all. I went to lunch with Kelsie who just got back from Romania.
And……she bought me my backpack! I was soooo excited. I
finally feel like I am going on this race! hehe It was perfect timing
because then I get to use it when I go out of town next week. I will
need to practice using it. Then after work we went shopping. I got some
shirts and jewlery. I haven’t been to the mall in forever so I enjoyed
it very much. That night I went over to my parents house and we went to
dinner. I always like to try new things so we went to Dai Bai Dang. It
was ok but I enjoyed it. I came back to my parents and opened my
presents. It was so amazing because they went to REI and got my
registry and bought some stuff on it. They picked a air porter thing
that is used for my backpack. And the funny thing is they didn’t know
that Kelsie was getting me my pack. I love how God surprises me sometimes!
I also got this headband from them that I wanted. Afterwards, I went
over to Kelsie’s to finally try a margarita! It was great and pretty
sweet. It was a birthday that was preparing me for the World Race and
it was THE BEST!
My birthday was over and yet I was still receiving blessings from
it. I went to work and ran some errands with Kevin and Bob. I was
looking at the Systematic Theology book in Kevin’s car. I made
a simple comment that I have been wanting one for a long time. Youth
group that night was at someones house for a pool party and they went
and bought it for me. I really have been wanting that book forever and
it was very sweet of them. So at youth group I was walking over to a
field where their was some vegetable they were growing. Bob called me
over and I thought it was for something stupid. So I walked slowly
over there and was so confused. Then right as I was in view of
everybody they started singing Happy Birthday! I got those butterflies you get when you are surprised and I love surprises! That night Bob, Kevin and Kyle came over to my parents house and we played Quelf with my sisters. Basically it is the most random game on the planet
which makes it the best! We definitly played until two in the morning
and my stomach hurt from laughing so much. Yep it was an amazing day!
