This is for the kid who is the hardest to love, for the kid who is overlooked because they’re a nuisence. God’s given me a heart for these kids. For the ones who I have to fight physically and spiritually for. For the ones who just need to hear a simple “You are loved”
I ache deeply for the life you lived before you came to live into a place where love is so evident. I know and and I see that you never knew what true love really feels like.
I see the walls you have. I’ve experienced the walls you have built. I see how high and how thick they are. I see the way you have grown numb to people trying to break them down. I see how others have quit and walked away from you.
I want to tell you that I’ll never quit breaking your walls down or attempting to break them. As tiring as it gets, and as many times as I go to sleep with a saddened heart because I failed in the pursuit, I still wake up the next morning with an even greater motivation.
Day after day, I take your crap. I allow you take your anger out on me, whether that means being a punching bag or letting you kick a soccer ball at my head, I always let you. Most days you don’t even acknowledge my words or attempts at a conversation, instead you just give me a disgusted look.

I live for the days where I break your walls down, or even a portion of them. I live for the days when you give me just a smile. Or even a hug. Or even a good game on the basketball courts.
Those are the days that make all the trying worth it.
I want to tell you this is real. I love you in a way that will never cease. You don’t have to compete for my love, or even do things so we will accept you. You have an eternal acceptance by someone far greater than me. I love you because of the one who loves me so deeply. He’s the one who taught me what true love is.
The one who created us, made us in an image of love. We were created by the creator of the ultimate love story.
There is nothing you could do that would give me a reason to stop meeting you with love. I live a life after my Father and He knows the deep billows of our hearts.
I long for the day where we are in perfect harmony and are filled with love, dancing around in Heaven with Our Perfect Love.
