First of all, be lovers. Before you are leaders, before you are world-changers, before you are revivalists, you are lovers. Make love your first ambition. Begin and end with love. Let love be what moves you. Be possessed by love. When you have left love, you have lost everything. Make loving Him your absolute, first priority. Make it your one thing to fall in love with the Trinity. May He always remain, your first love.
Be loved. This is your other pursuit…Beloved, be loved. Learn what it is to rest in His deep, earth-shattering, overwhelming, always perfect love for you. If you get nothing else, pursue that place where you know you are His son or daughter and that He loves you more than anything in the universe. He is always for you and always has your best in His heart. Often, you will have to fight for this truth.
Purpose to know the Holy Spirit. Make Him your best friend, for He is the best friend you will ever have. Fall in love with Him. Talk to Him. Pursue Him. He is your greatest treasure. His presence, your greatest prize. Him, living inside you.
Worship. Always worship. First and foremost, worship. Worship alone. Worship as a team. Worship as a squad. Seek to live in a position of worship. Worship, Intimacy. Worship, Intimacy. Worship, Intimacy. Anything that gets in the way of these must go.
Be in every moment. There is something for you to gain and something for you to deposit in every place and every interaction. :: Maintain thankfulness. Cultivate a thankful heart in everything. :: Honor. :: Look for ways to serve. Seek to go lower. :: Stay hungry!!!!! There's always, always, always more. Be desperate for the more. :: Fight for each another. The community that surrounds you is a great gift you have been given…I promise. :: Take risks. Get out of your comfort zone daily. :: Regularly, revisit why you are on this crazy journey. What do you really want to see? How are you going after it today? Take some time to imagine yourself on the other side of these 11 months. Picture yourself, back in the States. What would you have done differently? What would you change? It's far too easy for this year to just pass by. You have to be intentional and resolute. What do you want? Who do you want to be?
Don't despise, or avoid, the hard moments. It's the really hard moments that will push you to desperation for Him. It's in these moments, when you come to the end of yourself, when you don't have the answers, that you will hear His voice and lock into His eyes. These will be your anchoring points for life; the foundations that you stand on. Build monuments from these encounters.
Never ever forget… You were created for greatness. You will transform the world. This is your destiny and your inheritance as a child of God. All things are possible with Him.
Lastly, Seize every moment!! Go for it. Run hard. Then, savor the moment, for it will only come but once. Seize and savor.
