Its been a long couple of travel days but we are finally here in India and about to lead a camp. To get here we had to take a 2 hour flight to Denver Colorado, a 6 hour layover and then when we got onto our flight its engine broke. I didn’t like the sound of that one at all. They didn’t give us a new plane or anything! We sat in the plane for 1 1/2 hours. That one made me a little bit more nervous than usual. That flight was 7 1/2 hours long leading to a 2 hour lay over then a 8 hour flight! Thats when we officially got to New Delhi, India. From there we had a 12 hour bus ride up through the Himalayan mountains to our final destination. That was the hardest travel days that I have had in a while. I am very thankful that I got to do it all with my Girl friend Rachel!
Sao far there hasn’t been much ministry. We have had travel days and exploring days. We got to explore the red palace and the Taj Mahal. Those really are very beautiful buildings. I can’t believe how much detail they put into them and how they were made. I also didn’t know that the Taj was made by one family and that family is still in practice. Thats absolutely amazing to me.
This team that I’m with is actually pretty hard for me to be with. Besides Rachel they are people a little bit older than me but they are on their first times out of the country for missions. Where Rachel and I have a little bit more experience in leaving and airports and foreign ministry than they do but they are leading the trip. Please be praying for us to have patience and to not trump their leadership and take control but to encourage them in their leadership. Here is another thing to be praying for. Please pray that Im effective at ministry and the Holy Spirit leads me to say what He wants me to say. Also, that my eye sight doesn’t effect me negatively because my glasses broke again a few days ago. Everything is going fine and I can see alright but I just don’t want to have future problems the month with it.
Thank you all for being there for me and praying for me. You all mean so so much to me! Hopefully my next blog will have to do more with ministry. Until next time!
