I am here in Albania all safe and sound. Thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout the whole process and have been praying for me. This has been an amazing experience so far and Im only nine days in. The first three or four days it was all meetings and hanging out in a hotel in Georgia. Then we got to an airport at 9AM when our flight left at 10:45 PM. That was a long time to wait but worth it. We landed in Istanbul and had a two hour lay over for our next flight that was two hours long to Albania. Once we landed in Albania it was night time and we had an hour bus ride to where we are staying in Lezhe.
It truly has been amazing! We are staying at a lightforce complex on the rim of Lezhe. You can see all the mountains and rivers from where we are staying. And its also only a walking distance away from the city and the beach.
One thing that is totally new is the restrooms. We have a squatty potty that is also a shower. Those are two of the best activities and you get to do them both at the same time here!! Also, we have 11 guys in one room on bunk beds. It isn’t bad at all except we all sleep talk and I swear we have full conversations with each other while asleep.
My squad is an awesome group of people who I can joke around with and be myself with. Thats what I was praying for, so God has blessed me with all these great people. Thank you all again and i cant wait to let you all in on what has been going on over here!
