Change of plans. Instead of heading to Cien Fuegos my team is now heading to Moca. We will be teaching English classes and possibly be helping build homes when we have time. Apparently Moca is in the middle of nowhere! So I am leaving to go get lost in the Jungle! I am pretty stoked! It is the first time my team will be on our own without other teams around. We haven’t had many chances to really get alone as a team so this will be a great time for us to get to really know one another on a deeper level. We will be living with a family that leads the church in Moca. They told us we probably will have beds there. Which to me already seems weird since I have been sleeping in my hammock the last week and a half. I am almost positive my bed when I get home will be a hammock. We aren’t sure of the wifi situation in Moca so it might be a couple weeks before I will be posting again! Please be praying for my team as we embark on this journey. Please specifically be praying for my teammate Ashley. She speaks pretty fluent Spanish and will be our only translator. She is very nervous even though we all know she will do great.
Switching gears here. Let’s talk about camp. Jesus really moved during camp. We had quite a few kids surrender to Jesus and ask him to be their savior. It was amazing to see the hearts of these kids softened by hearing the gospel.
