I don’t know why, it may just be
because of the experiences I have had and am having all over the world, but
right now I am feeling compelled to give out a call for every person who reads
this to challenge themselves to greater things. It does not matter who you are,
old, young, student, professional, father, mother, wife or husband, you have a
design and purpose that God has put on your life and I challenge you and plead
with you to step into your destiny. Am I saying you are supposed to come out on
a missions trip or become a pastor or surgeon or something crazy? I have no
idea. Maybe its one of those things for you but it honestly could be anything
and you may already have some idea of what it is. God can tell you that and I
beg you, ask Him and give Him a chance to tell you. If you do I can guarantee
that He will show you and it will be above and beyond what you imagine possible
for yourself. It will be the hardest, most rewarding, most challenging, most
fun, most fulfilling and maybe even the scariest life you can imagine but it comes
with a promise: “I know the plans I have for you” declares the Lord, “plans to
prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
I challenge you to get
uncomfortable because those who seek to save their lives will lose them but
those who give their
lives for His names sake will save them. Take a chance and
step out. “A gamble?” “Eh, an act of Faith.” (Spock) “You can settle for less
and an ordinary life, or do you feel you were meant for something better,
something special?” (Cpt. Pike) “All we have to decide is what to
do with the
time that is given to us” (Gandalf) because “its not who we are underneath but
what we do that defines us” (Batman) and “what we do in life echoes in
eternity” (Maximus) so “we must all choose between what is right, and what is
easy” (Dumbledoor) because “you are fully capable of deciding your own destiny.
The question you face is which path will you choose? Only you can decide.”
(Sarek, Spock’s father) “Seek me and you will find me. Ask me and I will answer
you.” (God)
