The race was just a couple chapters of the story God’s writing in my life. And in those chapters God dropped some major clues leading up to what’s to come.
Ya see, before I even left for the race God had pointed out the Philippines to me. Not only that but He gave me a vision of the lost women and children there that are enslaved in sex trafficking. He showed me how lost they were without His love and how they viewed themselves as pretty much worthless individuals. In that moment all I wanted to do was to share how passionately God wanted to just hold them in His arms and bring them into His family. He wants them to hear the truth of how much He loves them and how high of a price He paid to make them His own.
Once on the race God placed the dream on my heart to do ministry out of a coffee shop. My favorite ministry throughout the race was establishing relationships with the tourists and world travelers we came in contact with. Sometimes it was a Jew from Israel doing their usual post military holiday and other times it was European backpackers in search of the ‘more’ they believed there was to life. Whatever the case was it was always a pleasure to hear their story and show them what a relationship with the Creator of the universe looked like. Most of them had never met someone who had the Spirit of Jesus living in them and so it was nothing out of the ordinary for them to be drawn to Jesus living in me and the others on my team. Whether they realized it or not we had found what it was that there hearts longed for which was a relationship with The Father. And I loved telling them all about the infinite peace and joy I had since I had come to faith in Christ. Many of them continued searching the corners of the earth in search of what their hearts were missing but I know that Christ in me touched them and showed them something they could search every inch of the world for and not find outside of a relationship with Jesus.
Now wouldn’t it be awesome if God was putting together a ministry while I was on the race that combined all the things I just listed?? But hey its not like God’s interested in sharing His desires and what He is doing with His children, right?? Wrong. A few weeks after arriving home God informed me of a couple from Wisconsin that would be opening up a coffee shop in the Philippines. And ya know who loves coffee shops? World travelers. But what makes it even better is that this coffee shop will be working with a ministry called Wipe Every Tear(WET). WET is a ministry based in the red light district of the Philippines that focuses on rescuing young women who are enslaved in sex trafficking. They work to bring hope and restoration to the women who have been trafficked into the sex trade. Basically they take women who were once known as prostitutes and introduce them to the King who calls them Children of God.
And so step one towards this crazy dream Gods given me is to begin training at the Center for Global Action(CGA) this September. I humbly ask that you would bless me with the funds I need to start this training. The amount is $3,950 and it will cover my food, boarding and training. Please pray and consider financially supporting me so I can follow the dreams God has placed on my heart. Just click the ‘Support Me’ button at the top of the page to make a tax deductible donation. I greatly appreciate every dollar because every dollar truly does count.
Love and blessings friends and fam.
