Yes.  Tomorrow I’m leaving our de-brief at Koh Samed and heading to Bangkok just long enough to get the stench of it in our nostrils before we board a bus to L-a-o-s.  Now you might wonder what all the random dashes are for when I spelled out said country.  You also probably wondered this when I wrote about B-u-r-m-a.  Well you may or may not know this but both of these countries are closed countries.  Christianity is illegal there and Christian missionaires are not welcome.  In fact they even have people to scan the internet and emails to make sure people aren’t doing what I’m doing.  By putting the dashes in the name of the country it makes it harder to search the internet.  But since nothing is 100% effective you will not read about specific cities or contact names during this month.  So on the flip side of it I would appreciate it if you would all be careful when you comment on my blogs or send me emails, that you don’t say the name of the country or say any Christian terms.

This month is known as an “ATL” month.  Where our destination and our ministry is not setup by AIM but where as a team we pray into it and rely on God to open doors for us and lead us where He wants us.  Nate and I were in the mountains all month with the rest of the guys so we weren’t really apart of the process but when I got back we had a country, L-a-o-s, and a ministry that God had opened up for us in some awesome ways.

This month we’ll be working with a contact  that runs a halfway house for men who are recovering from drug addiction.  The oppurtunities that were told to us were painting and teaching english.  But like anyhing else this year we’ll see how much of that holds up when we actually get there.

So I’m pretty excited about this month.  It’s very obvious that God orchestrated all this and I’m confident that He will carry us through the  rest of the month.  If you would please just pray for our safety and protection this month and also that God would prepare us and equip us for what He has waiting for us.  I’ll try to blog as soon as we’re there and we know more about what’s going on.
