It’s been a a pretty eventful week.
Come to find out, at the Love in Action orphanage there are lot’s of
Cambodian ninja’s. And they’re a lot stronger then the one’s in
Haiti. Want to know how I know? Because the Haitian ninja’s never
hurt my shoulder. But it’s ok, fortunately you can get a $7 massage
here in Phnom Penh, so in case you’re wondering thats what I’ll be
doing on my sabbath. There’s been a lot of excitement surrounding
our tuktuk we take everywhere. So far this week we have almost
rolled it, we’ve had to push it up a hill and we’ve had to chase it
down. I’m not complaining, it keeps things exciting around here.

We have a pretty weird ministry
schedule for our time in Phnom Penh. Monday thru Wednesday we teach
English to the kids at the Good Shepherd Orphanage. There are about
40 kids there and we go in the mornings for 2 hours and then we leave
and come back in the afternoon and teach a different group of kids
for 2 hours. Something we’re excited about starting this week is,
during our 4 hour lunch break we’re going take our tuktuk to various
areas of Phnom Penh(i.e. Prostitution areas, the university, the
river village, and the buddhist temples), and then prayer walk around
those areas praying for the people that are under those strongholds.

Thursday thru Saturday we work at the
Love in Action orphanage in the afternoons and play with the kids.
There’s about 60 kids, most of them along with the ones from Good
Shepherd were rescued from abusive homes or given up by poor families
who can’t support their child.

I have a group of boys that I’ve grown
pretty attached to at Good Shepherd. They love to test their
strength against mine and play little games. Its amazing how there
are so many things in life that we take for granted or just assume
that we have a right to. But do these boys have any less of a right
to have a father then I do. They need a strong man to teach them how
to be strong. They need a Godly man to teach them how to be Godly.
They need a man to answer questions in themselves that might never
get asked verbally, but only a man can answer for them. Questions
that if gone unanswered, could leave them with insecurities and
doubts about who God created them to be.

So pray for our team that God would
unite us in love each other so we can be a vessel He can better use.
Pray that God could use me to answer these questions that those boys
have. But more importantly pray that these boys would get fathers
who can raise them up to walk with the Lord.

This weeks verse:

“…Awake O’ Sleeper,
and arise from the dead,
and Christ will shine on you.
