I know, I know.  I just posted a blog a few days ago.  But, it looks like we won’t be able to have internet access for the next ten days.  Why?  Because we’ll doing a tour of a lot of jungle tribes this month in the northern part of part of Thailand.  Yep, we arrived this morning to Chang Mai and met up with our ministry contact Ray.  After lunch we met and discussed the details of our ministry which I am going to share with you now:
We leave tomorrow and travel 2 hours into the mountains to work on a church plant in a small village.  We’ll be applying the finishing coat of paint on the church and helping with the kids and outreach.  Through out the month we’ll be going from village to village helping with B-u-r-m-e-s-e refugee camps or kids cay camps.  We’ll also spend a day or two in B-u-r-m-a, working with a church near the border.  I know some of you might have concerns that B-u-r-m-a is very dangerous.  Well your right.  It’s not uncommon for for the military to come and wipe out an entire village.  They take the women and put them in the sex trade and force the kids to be in their child army(which is the biggest child army in the world).  I was also told of other attrocities that I will not repeat in this blog.   But I have to go.  After hearing everything I repeated and more, if I have the oppurtunity to go and spread hope and love I have to.  But if it helps any of you feel better.  We’re staying near the border and the government tries to keep the fighting away from the border.
On a lighter side, I was able to spend the day with a good friend from home who has been doing some traveling and happened to be in Chang Mai.  It was a huge blessing, that we were able to spend time together, talk and swap stories.
Please pray for us guys this month.  Obviously protection in B-u-r-m-a but also in these villages.  We were told there are powerful strongholds on these villages and they face a lot of spiritual warfare.
