At this point in the World Race all of the men head off on a couple months of man ministry and the teams get reshuffled a bit. The women of Team Arrow now have the opportunity to join forces with the women from the other co-ed team.
Can’t wait to see all that God has planned for our sweet girl time!
Valentine’s Day in Phuket
When I committed to the World Race, I also committed to not enter into a romantic relationship for the duration of my time abroad. Over the course of the race God has been proving time and time again that He is far more than enough. He is my all sufficient provider, protector, redeemer, companion, and lover. He romances me more profoundly and intimately than any man ever will. So, it is no real surprise that this year He is also inviting me to be a part of one of the most romantic Valentine’s Days ever!
Phuket, Thailand is one of the darkest and most blatant destinations for sex tourism that I have ever been exposed to. While prayer walking the other night, I was literally approached with menus of different people I could rent and use.
God loves people on all sides of the sex trade. He deeply desires that they would know His love, that His living water would redeem their dry and empty places. That they would experience life and life to the fullest.
Members of the church body in Thailand are passionate about the Lord and His desire to redeem. They have set aside Valentine’s Day to show His heart in a special way and we are so excited to have been invited to participate!
On February 13, volunteers will be traveling to Phuket from multiple different cities/ministries (including people connected to Francis Chan’s Thailand ministry) to spend 24 hours praying and spiritually preparing. On Valentine’s Day, our team, along with over 100 volunteers, will be distributing 1,000 roses to women involved in the sex trade.
In a place where love has been warped and degraded, God desires to redeem all that has been lost. What better day to proclaim this truth than the day set aside to celebrate love!
How can you help?
Our team will be spending the next few nights investing in relationships, praying to build up enough trust and credibility that hearts will be open and willing to receive on Valentine’s Day.

…that the Holy Spirit would direct my team and I as we navigate building relationships and shining light in the midst of the darkness.
…that we would walk with extra protection and covering as we go.
…that we would each lead our respective teams of volunteers with divine wisdom and grace.
