Hola familia y amigos! Ahora estoy en Guatemala! :
This month we are working with an organization called, Loving Arms. Loving Arms’ vision is to provide hope and assistance in transforming the lives of families and children in small villages in Guatemala. They do this by providing education, training, food, resources, and other assistance. Loving Arms has a variety of things for us to do to serve them. The first week here we painted a school! It was so much fun (hard work, but fun). We also enjoyed playing futbol (soccer) with the students during lunch break!
Finished product! The teachers were going to have to paint the entire school by themselves before school started in two weeks. So glad we got to help and paint the school for them!
Our normal schedule started this past week. Our schedule includes weeding, hoeing, cleaning, organizing, teaching english, teaching crafts, and construction. Loving Arms just moved into a new center so we were able to clean the new house, sort and organize all their materials and get them settled into their new beautiful center.
Guatemala is absolutely beautiful and so are the people. We are loving learning about their culture and sharing life with them. More to come later folks! 😀
