“So don’t lose a minute in building on what you’ve been given,
complementing your basic faith with good character,
spiritual understanding, alert discipline, passionate patience,
reverent wonder, warm friendliness and generous love.”

2 Peter 1:5-6

So, here we are.

We are quickly approaching the half-way mark of our race. The first half has been a sweet time of learning who I am in Christ and how to live daily dying to myself and live completely sold out for Him. He has refined me. Broken me. Redeemed me. It has been a time of learning to make Christ-centered friendships with women and live in a community unlike any I have ever experienced before. I have learned what it means to live in poverty and rely on Christ for strength and safety. I have literally had to run and hide in Him as my refuge. I have fasted, prayed, worshiped, and sought Him more than I ever have in my life. I have found a life of freedom that I had never imagined.

Over the past five and a half months I have experienced Kingdom life. I have gotten to see things I never imagined.

…and it will forever change me.

I have prayed over malnourished babies, unnamed and helpless as they lay in hospital beds.

I have painted churches, walls, and buildings.

I have gotten to teach VBS and play in fields with children in Guatemala.

I have cried with teammates in moments of brokeness.

I have picked lice out of heads…over and over and over again.

I have fallen in love with orphans in El Salvador…

…and I still miss them everyday.

I have prayed over a man that was going blind…and saw his sight restored the very next day.

I have fed starving children in Nicaragua and acted out Bible stories to teach them the stories of Jesus.

I have cooked many meals in hot kitchens with my team.

I have witnessed the devastation of a Typhoon and lived among victims that had lost their homes and loved ones.

I have taught classes at a Preschool to little Filipino children.

I have tutored Thai students in English.

I have gotten to provide hair cuts to my teammates, squadmates, and contacts all over the world!

I have gotten to sing in front of people again for the first time in years. 🙂

I have made life long friends from all over the country and the world that I will never be able to forget the impact they have made on my life.

It is only by God’s grace and YOUR continuous support through prayer, donations and encouragement that I am here and have been blessed with this incredible opportunity. Your support has given me hope and let me spread the love that Jesus has so freely given me to those who may not have experienced it yet.

I am excited to say that I am finally FULLY FUNDED for the rest of the World Race. There are still personal expenses that I have to pay for over the next six months on the race. So, if you would still like to donate to my personal account, please contact me! I am so blessed by each of you that have given so generously! Thank you for believing in me and being a huge part of this ministry.

I still have a few teammates who have yet to meet the deadline that is quickly approaching on March 1. If they do not have the rest of their funds raised, there is a possibility of them having to go home. If you would like to support them and our team, you can click the link for each of them below. I have provided the amount they still need until they are fully funded! Follow the link to their page and then click the “Support Me” link on the left hand side to give a donation. This will keep our team ministering together for the rest of this journey.
