So much happens on the world race in a week. I'll try to catch you all up real quick.

You never know what will happen.

Things fall through, plans get changed, and people are all dealing with their own stuff.

Im learning more than ever to give up the right of knowing what will happen or what we will be doing. God knows what He's doing and that's really all that matters.

This week has been a lot about getting vulnerable.

We, as a squad, decided to get real and let go of all the things that have held us back for years. We have decided to let go of the lies from the Devil that we have believed and have started to speak life and truth over each other. We even had a burning ceremony where we admitted these things to the whole squad, brought it to light, and burned the things we were finally ready to give over to God.

It's time to start walking in FREEDOM.

We have had some amazing times of worship, great sessions by Seth Barnes and our squad leaders and squad mates, and have opened up to each other on a level I don't think I have ever experienced. My team alone, has had some HUGE breakthroughs that we are praising God for and working through each day. We have decided to fight for each other as we each walk through our own journey and experience more and more freedom from our pasts and past hurts.

For the first time, my past was given such a huge purpose. To love on these girls on my team, grow with them, cry with them, and watch ad God opens up doors to plant seeds of hope and love all over the world. To share my story over and over again and see how God uses it. I will never again regret what I have been through or what has happened to me in my life…because now I see how God can truly use it for His Kingdom. PTL! (Praise the Lord!)

Here's what ministry has looked like for our team so far:

Day 1: spent the day praying over patients and visitors at the hospital

Day 2: stayed at our "home" and scrubbed outside walls with bleach and detergent to get rid of mildew and touched up the walls with paint!

Day 3: We met our contact, Pastor Brady. He was wonderful and introduced us to another pastor who needed help re-doing a building that was donated to be an alcohol awareness center. We chalked the walls (must be a Guatemalan thing…basically priming the walls), painted, scrapped lettering off the outside walls, and repainted outside as well. It was such a blessing working with the three men that were there helping. One of the men could speak English pretty well which was refreshing to be able to carry on a conversation.

Day 4: same as above 🙂

Day 5: same as above. Although I got to spend the day with my squad leader checking in, getting away for the day, and recharging. I also got to do a few haircuts for my squad. 🙂

Saturdays are our days off. We call them Sabbath days and get to choose as a team what we would like to do. It was guatemala's independence day so we relaxed and reconnected with our families then went to see the festivities going on in town.

Sunday we got to go to our pastors church. This was such a blessing.
But after the service was over he told us there was no more work for us.

We have just been going with the flow helping out where is needed.

Whether its going to the market to get food and cook for the squad…

…or spending extra time in team time going deep with your teammates..

God is still moving…and it's amazing :).

Thank you for all of your support, comments and emails!!
They keep my spirits high and makes my heart smile!!
