For the past 9 months I have gotten to live with and become family with this girl. She has loved and valued me more than I could ask and taught me to love and value myself more than I ever have. In honor of living with each other for 9 months, here are 9 facts about her that I have grown to know and love (for the most part ??) :
1. She’s not actually rude. She just doesn’t really have much of a rude filter.
2. You don’t talk to her before 9 am.
3. If she’s been dead quiet for a little while she’s either tired, hungry, or sad.
4. Usually when she’s sad, though, she gives you this one look and then either cries or curls up and covers herself in blankets.
5. If she’s had a rough few days she just needs a good laugh or a dance party to make her feel better.
6. When she gets excited her voice gets progressively higher and higher.
7. She talks about her friends and family a lot. here’s what I know:
* Amber: bestest best friend, they share a lot of obama/biden memes, married to Travis (he’s in band called Good News We’re Dead, check them out)
* Erin: another best friend, basically her but nicer, they work together
* Miranda: married to Quigley, worship leader w/ Quigley at their church, their fam has a lot of babies
* Quigley: married to Myranda, is not brown, actually white (I found this out a little late), very tall, bearded
* Christian: extremely supportive, currently growing out a beard, looks like John Snow
* Damon: best guy friend, lived with her for a while, always down to hang
* Claudio: smokes unlit cigarettes, lives in miami, not a hipster
* Kyle: oldest guy friend, once did a photoshoot with glitter, the cute friend
* Cheen: bought her a cool bible everyone’s jealous of, really likes biggie, has gauges
* Alex: brother, super artistically talented, cooler than her (don’t tell her I said that), currently interning at The Verge in New York
* Melanie: sister, nice bum, drags her places involuntary, also always down to hang
* Yasty: mom, wanted to adopt me for pvt, everyone likes her, obsessed with butts and chickens
* Oliver (a.k.a. Papi): dad, super funny, one time I facetimed him with tipp while he was on the toilet, super bummed I didn’t meet him
* Alex & Arlyn: birth dad & step mom, Alex is a pastor, Arlyn is a super good cook, both pray for us a lot
8. Loves being around people. Watching movies, quoting movies, eating food, whatever you want.
9. One of the biggest things she’s done for me is make me feel intelligent (which is one of my biggest insecurities). She’s really good at making people feel important and valuable.
T, you’ve been a real great friend. There’s no one else I’d rather have spent the last nine months together. I’m going to miss our late nights watching Game of Thrones, Gossip Girl, and epic movie series. Live Laugh Love. I love you a ton, S.
