Hello everyone!
I am so sorry for not being able to update you all while in Vietnam. An update on our time there. We were teaching English during the day to students who were trying to get their Visas to go to school in the United States. At night we would spend our time at Grace Cafe. Here we hung out with people our age and get to love on them and teach English. Even though Vietnam is a closed country, the door was and is never closed for God. We had some amazing experiences in Vietnam. The beauty of the country and the people there are unforgettable. The night before we left Asia all together, we had two men become christians at Grace Cafe. It was a night that I will always remember. The bonds we made with the people there are ones that I will always keep in touch with.
Now, in Uganda, we are working alongside a church. Everyday we are going door to door evangelizing, going to a hospital, or doing service projects. The people here are the sweetest, most hospitable hosts and people I have ever met. Their hearts are so filled with joy and the holy spirit as they do even the simplest chores like doing laundry. At the house we are staying at there is always at least 8 other people in the house at a time that are family of the family that lives there. It’s so interesting and exciting to see such a large family. We were also able to go to the first Christian church in Uganda. It is about 10 minutes away from our house. I know it’s been a great start to the three months in Africa and I can’t wait to see what God has in store for this country and the ministry we are doing.
We are looking for prayers for our time in Uganda. The family and church that we are with just lost the person who was our contact for World Race. His wife is now taking over the church while teaching, and raising 5 kids. They are in the midst of mourning and still trying to do things in the church. If you could keep their family in your prayers and also for us to be as helpful as possible we would greatly appreciate it!
Thank you for everything!
Oh, I also got to white water raft down the Nile! How cool is that?!
