With warm weather, banana trees and reggae tone music playing in the background, it’s hard to believe it is Christmas time. Our team has attempted to make it feel as homey as possible in our new bunk rooms at the Quinta Orphanage here in Nicaragua. We’ve hung paper snowflakes and continue to fill the air with English Christmas music from our little computer speakers. Dan even lucked out and got a room complete with a little Christmas tree.

It is fun celebrating the season with our teammates, although we still miss our friends and family a great amount, especially this time of year. I’ve grown to love my team so much over the past two months. I wish I could get them each a Christmas gift to show my appreciation for them, but my lack of funds and their lack of empty space in their packs makes the idea futile.

However, my team can still be blessed….that is why I’m posting this blog. I need your help.
Emma, one of my teammates, is struggling to meet the next support deadline of $10,500, which is in January. Currently, she has about $6,000 raised, with the majority of it being her own money.

If you are looking for a way to bless me and my team during the Holidays, supporting Emma on The World Race would be such a wonderful gift to all of us! We love her dearly and hate to see her struggle to find supporters and we all fear the idea of her leaving us in January.

So, if you have some extra Christmas money and want to help Emma, here’s how:
