It is a part of World Race culture to divide each squad into teams of 6-7 people. After seeking God’s guidance through prayer, we are all assigned to a team. My team’s name is “Spittin’ Image,” which represents our desire to reflect an image of Jesus to those we encounter. Not only will we be sharing in the same ministry opportunities each month, but we will also be sharing:
- team-cooked meals,
- crammed bus seats,
- living quarters,
- feedback sessions,
- bathrooms,
- deep dark secrets,
- iPods,
- inside jokes,
- clothes,
- what God is doing in our hearts,
- memories,
- …and so much more.
Allow me to introduce you to these amazing six people that I am incredibly blessed to share the next few months of life with:
DAN LIDWIN:
He is 22 years old and hails from Springfield, MA, which is evident in his northern accent. He graduated from Liberty University with a B.S. in Political Science. His interests include: “Playing the piano and singing, fishing, canoeing, tennis, hiking, traveling, and anything outdoors.” His favorite music artist is Chris Tomlin and he enjoys listening to Contemporary Christian, Country and Oldies tunes. His favorite movie is Elf and he has a dog back at home that weighs only 5lbs.

JORDAN FATH:
Jordan is a lovely 22 year old from New Albany, Indiana. She recently received a degree of Hospitality and Tourism Management from Purdue University. She likes to doodle, attempt to learn new things, and catch up with friends. Her iPod playlists favorites include Phil Wickham and Musicals, along with Shaun Groves' new album. Jordan is a big fan of chick flicks, such as Pride and Prejudice and The Sound of Music. She is 1/4 Native American and once danced at a corn feast, was born in Germany, and have a special love for pineapple.

BRITTNEY JENNINGS:
Calls Fredericksburg, VA her home before the Race and is currently 23 of age. She graduated from Christopher Newport University. She loves learning to do new things and considers herself “a jack of all trades, master of none.” Brittney loves exploring new music and is currently into a band called For Now We Live. She also can sing and play guitar like no other and will be serenading our team with her talents. She is a Venture Scout, which will most likely come in handy on The World Race.

EMMA HALSTEAD:
Grew up in Granbury, Texas, but has worked and lived the past two years in Jackson Hole Wyoming, near Yellowstone. She is blessed to be 23 years of age with an associates in Culinary arts and certified in Nuthetic Biblical counseling. Emma is currently pursuing a bachelors in Physiology in Christian Counseling from Liberty on-line. She enjoys helping people, teaching about her Best Friend, Daddy, and King of Kings. She loves going running in the mountains, hike, wrangling, local coffee shops, and deep conversations with friends. Emma also confesses her addiction to Jane Austin sense, which she has had since can remember. She enjoys any type of music, but is more drawn to Jazz, Josh Groban, Celine Deon soundtracks and the 80s. Also, Emma has been playing classical guitar sense she can remember. A fun fact about Emma is that she was born with six toes on one foot and six fingers on one hand…”I think the Lord knew I was clumsy and needed extra,” She says.

CAITLYN ROGERS:
is a beautiful 22 year old from Williamston, North Carolina. (She proudly shares a strong southern accent with me.) She graduated from Campbell University with a Religion Degree. You would never guess she is related to Davy Crockett. She also loves to play guitar and sing, which will be a blessing to our team. Her iPod is filled with tunes by Bethany Dillon and her favorite films include: Runaway Bride, Charlie St. Cloud, and Remember the Titans.

NATE HERNDON:
is 23 years old and proudly calls Greensboro, North Carolina his stompin’ grounds. He also claims that he could never see himself living north of North Carolina. He graduated from Appalachian State University . Nate loves “friendly laid back people, slow pace, sweet tea, and beautiful beaches, mountains and everything in between.” He has been very involved with YoungLife since high school and it has impacted his life greatly. Nate enjoys schooling people in basketball and a nice day on the golf course.
