Update:
After spending almost two weeks in Thailand I have fell in love with the country, people, and the food!
It’s much different than Africa to say the least!
My journey to Thailand began with a 5 day debrief on the island of Cosemet, truly an amazing and beautiful place.
We debriefed our time in Africa and prepared our hearts for what’s to come during our time in Asia.

Ministry:
During our time in Thailand my team of 6 incredible women and the rest of the world race teams are engaging the sex trade industry by reaching out to the prostitutes that work in the sex trade.
This means they go directly to where they work, in clubs and bars to minister directly to them.
It’s an amazing ministry, but very raw and very challenging for men to work in.
For that reason all the men are pulling out from their teams during this month.
We have joined together this month to do our own ministry.
Team Awaken will be in Bangkok, two other teams will be in Puket, and one team is in Pattaya.
They’re all ministering in the sex trade so please pray for protection and strength during this time.
I encourage you to read any of the blogs from our teammates and to follow/encourage them during this month.

Men:
Three out of the four men, Casey, Silas, and myself, will be in Bangkok until the 16th of September.
During this time Mark will be doing media coverage for our teams down south in Puket.
For us who are in Bangkok much of our ministry before the 16th will be teaching English, house visits in the slums, and prison ministry in various forms.
After the 16th we plan to head north up to Chang-mi.
There are no set plans except to help with a Y-WAM (Youth With a Mission) conference from the 23rd-26th Much of our time will be sent going were the lord sends us, meeting needs as they come, and relying on God.
Additionally this is a much-needed time for the men to have quality time with one another.
Being one man on a team of 6-7 women can be difficult at times.
We all look forward to our fellowship as men during this month.

My Heart:

Please pray for our sisters during this time.
It’s hard for me to leave them alone this month, not feeling like I can physically protect them.
Being away from them has showed me how much I truly love every single one of them.
I tell them all the time how I feel so very privileged to have an entire year with them.
They are ministering in a very dark place, where there can be a lot of attacks; but my faith is in God and His promises.
I know now that the safest place to be is in His will and hand.
My love is no comparison to the love that the Father has for them.
I’m so excited to see how God is going to use them this month and what he’s going to do in each of their hearts.

Nightlight is an organization one of the January teams worked with last month. Nightlight is a direct parallel to the organization my team will be working with this month called The Well. The well funtions in the same bars and has the same ministry. This video will give you insight as to what my team is doing this month.
