I want to start off by thanking God for this tremendous opportunity. Thank you Lord for providing the means and support I needed to go on this journey. I also want to thank all those supporting me. I have been blessed beyond my understanding. I’m truly thankful for all your support and I pray that we are all blessed in the process.
I arrived in Antigua, Guatemala on the first of October. We are temporarily staying in a Hostel, which is like the Hilton in the life of a World Racer. The city of Antigua is really beautiful, it is surrounded by tranquil green mountains with trees and vegetation sprouting out everywhere there is not a building or road. The city is intertwined with rock layered roads and old spanish architectural buildings. Traffic is constantly moving and they seem to have few traffic laws if any, basically just dodge whatever’s in your way. I’m finally in a city where I’m actually considered tall, thinking about trying out for the local football team.
So far, we’ve been training and preparing to go out into the mission field. The training is informative and I’m convinced it will be tremendously beneficial once we’re out in the field. I’m definitely thankful for the training and I can’t wait to get out and get to work. We did get the opportunity to speak to and pray for a local guy who had a hard time walking. He appeared happy that we stopped to chat with him and was encouraged that we took time to pray for him. Please be praying that the Lord prepare people’s hearts and he uses us to make a difference in people’s lives and His name be glorified in all we do.
