As most of you know I went on a year long missions trip
overseas and just returned back to America about 1 year ago (crazy how
times flies). Well I knew it wouldnt take me long to get that itch again
to go back overseas for God…and this summer I will be doing just
that.
From June 7 – August 2 I will be leading a group of college
students to Peru. It is with the same organization I worked with
before, Adventures in Missions, and this trip is called “Real Life”. My
team and I will be spending most of our 2 months living on a boat and
traveling up and down the Amazon River and visiting local villages in
the Amazon Jungle. We will have an opportunity to pray with and
evanaglize to people who might not have ever heard the Gospel before. We
will get to do a variety of ministries such as kids camps, preaching,
door – to – door evangalisim, helping to build homes, and leading bible
studies.
I am super excited about this next chapter in my life
and I know that God will bless my team and really use us to impact life
in the Amazon. I know this is another opportunity for me to grow
Spiritually as well, to grow even deeper with my FATHER and learn more
about what HE wants for my life. I pray that HE breaks me down and
builds me up again in HIS love and grace.
I just found out about
this trip and only have a couple of weeks left before I will be in Peru
so I am scrambleing to get all my gear together and raise the funds I
need. I know that God will provide everything I need in time. I need to
raise just under $3,000 for this trip. This will cover all my living
expenses, airfare, food, medical insurance and my gear.
