As I have traveled around the globe these past 9 months I have seen a lot of heartbreaking and depressing things.
On the flip side I have seen a lot of amazing miracles and beautiful people.  It is sometimes hard to think back to the way I lived my life back in the States prior to the World Race and realize how little I really knew about the world and how people live.  This trip has opened my eyes to so many things that it will forever be engrained into my heart and soul.  One thing that I have discovered is how increadibly blessed I am to live in America where I have access to the best healthcare in the world.  I never have to travel for more than 10 minutes without seeing another doctor’s office or hospital of some sort.  It is absolutely amazing how that works.  When all over the world people are suffereing and often dying from common and extremely treatable diseases because there is no decent healthcare available to them in their area.  In the past 9 months I have visited over 13 hospitals and/or doctor’s offices, some for ministry purposes but others for taking my team/squad mates when they were sick or injured.  The overwhelming common theme is that healthcare around the world pales in comparisson to America.  I met a man in Mozambique who was blind since the age of 13 because he got the measles and there was no hospital near his village to get treatment.  I have met people who have to wait for weeks for simple blood tests to come back or never have X-Rays done because there are no machines in their part of the country.  The standard of care and disease spreading precautions (such as gloves, cleaning supplies, masks, gowns, etc…) dont even exist.  How is this possible? How can we as Americans sit by and let people suffer from things that we can go to the corner Walgreens and pick up a 5 dollar box of medicine?
It doesn ‘t make sense to me but I know that complaing about it doesn’t really make a difference.  The only way to really see change for these things is to seek God’s face and pray constantly for wisdom and discernment on what we should do.  I know that if we follow the Holy Spirit’s voice that he will lead us to bringing more and more Kingdom around the world.   The question is…

Do you know when the Holy Spirit is talking to you and will you take the chance and follow his voice wherever he says? When he tells you your Kingdom dream will you leave your old life behind and do what God is really calling you to do right now?
Will you wait a few years because you are to afraid?
Will you listen to the “nay-sayers” in your life and stay still?

My challange to you is to really seek God’s face and honestly stop and listen and wait to hear what God really wants you to be doing with your life.  It could be staying in your same office and bringing God’s truth to your coworkers.  It could mean going back to school at the age of 45 with 2 kids to learn something competely new and different.  It could mean volunteering more at your church with Sunday Schools or in the office.  It might mean getting involved with a Volunteer organization in your city that helps out under privilaged children.  It might mean leaving the United States and starting a medical clinic in Africa.  Whatever he says to you, stop waiting around, stop worrying about how you will support your family or that you wont have as much free time anymore and boldly proclaim God’s overwhelming truth to the world!!
