I got my BACKPACK today! …Or shall I say yesterday, seeing as how it's now just after 1:30am where I'm at. I'm excited ๐Ÿ˜€ It's blue and massive and beautiful and I love it. It didn't hit me that I'm actually doing this until I saw myself in the mirror with my pack on.
This is pretty much what it looks like(60+10Litres):

I definitely wasn't planning on spending money on a backpack when I got to the store, but when you find the one that fits you perfectly(especially when you have a ridiculously short torso), you kind of have to get it. So now I'm broke, but it is so worth it!

Also, earlier today, a friend in choir (her name is Natalie), who is a complete sweetheart, wrote me a short letter today. I'm taking it with me on my trip, it's so encouraging:

Dear Sarah,
You are a gorgeous woman. There is something about you that draws people to you. Everytime you're around, the room is brighter and the day seems better. You are such a joy to be around. You will make such a difference for God in the world. He will use you for so much. Thank you for being you.
God Bless,
Natalie

Not gonna lie, I could pretty much say the exact same thing about her. Her personality is always so bright and cheerful, you can't help but smile around her. I'm so glad God brought her into my life ๐Ÿ™‚

AND I actually got my first positive response when I handed a person a support letter. He's an old friend from elementary/junior high, and he is so supportive about me doing this. It defs made my day.

Lesson Learned #2:I hate asking people for money. But it's ok to bluntly say you need money for your trip when somebody asks. No beating around the bush, no sir-ee.
No monthly supporters yet, I'm praying though! I just have to keep reminding myself that God's got this one.

All in all, today was a good day ๐Ÿ™‚
