Soooo….
Funny thing happened!
Last Monday, God asked me to start tithing. So I did. Then, this Monday, at my young adults group, God asked me to give my last $20 to the church's goal for church planting. So I did. Albeit after playing a bit of tug o war with God, but I caved. And I was happy to give it too, because God has a funny way with words and knows how to change my mind.
So, this is where the funny part comes in. You know how God says in His Word that He blesses the happy giver, well….
I've been getting more hours at work, finally! AND I've been selling more, and since I partially work on commission, it's more moolah to my paycheck.
And my fundraising with Threads of Hope bracelets have gone amazingly well! I've been selling them for $2 each. But God's been crazy awesome with using my friends and family. Two people bought two bracelets and each gave me $20. Yes, each gave $20 for two bracelets. That's an extra $32 that they gave! Craziness! AND a good friend of mine (Hi Jabens!) decided to help me out and sell a bundle of my bracelets to his friends and other peeps. More craziness!
AND my uncle, whom only I only see twice a year because the man lives in Kuwait, was at my parents' place tonight. While I was at work, so I didn't get to see him 🙁
I came home tonight to a check from him. Guess what the amount was….
$2000
WHAT!!!
I just about dropped on the floor in disbelief.
And he said that if I needed more help with paying for this trip I only need to ask him.

I still can't get over it.
