So Malaysia has been a roller-coaster ride from beginning to end. I feel like I’ve experienced the highest points thus far on the race here as well as the lowest. I feel like the experience can be summed up into our Easter celebration weekend. We went non-stop getting about 3-4 hours of sleep a night. Starting Maundy Thursday we preached, worked with kids, gave testimonies, climbed a mountain, traveled to far off towns and went to the most amazing Easter bonfire. But through all the homesickness, fatigue and sleep depravation I feel like they were the happiest and most monumental days on the race. The joy of the Lord is my strength, not the power or the strength, the joy. I don’t know how to explain the feeling in words, but for your body to be so exhausted your legs shake with every step, and yet your spirit to be so full of energy that it fuels your body’s movement, that’s where we were. By the end of the week, we could have all been annoyed or frustrated, but the entire team was upbeat and laughing and dancing. It was great!! And the bonfire was the perfect ending; just singing and worshiping the Lord!
