So Here I am in Haiti.  Despite all of the spiritual darkness and extreme poverty…this country is soooo beautiful!  The mountains overlook the crystal clear beaches, it’s almost hard to believe that this nation is so poor when it has so much natural beauty.

Daily though the heat is definitely a struggle.  I wake up at 5:30 am each day dripping in sweat.  I take a cold shower…get out of the shower and debate getting back in because I started sweating again. Yesterday I counted 30+ mosquito bites on my left leg ALONE.  And Yes….that is with being drenched in bug spray each morning.

However, although it gets rough sometimes, God is moving in the midst of all this chaos and physical discomfort.  The orphans are opening up to us a lot more now (even the ones that were tough to love at the beginning).  Many of them were very stand-offish when we arrived and very rude to many of us.  At first I took it personal, but then I realized that these kids have so much pain.  They know that they were not wanted…they know that people come in and out of their lives and that most likely they won’t be leaving the orphanage at all.  They have built up so many defenses to protect their little hearts from being hurt time and time again that now their main defense is to push people and love away from them.  I praise God for revealing that to me and am now seeing, after much prayer, that the walls are coming down.

This Friday i’m planning a worship/revival service for the teen girls at the orphanage.  The vision the Lord has given me for it is a “Heart Revival” night.  I believe God will show up mightily and souls will be saved, delivered, and healed by the power of our living God.  Please pray for these girls and that the Holy Spirit would do a work in them.  Pray that they would have an encounter with their Father who adores them.  Pray that the walls would break down and that the yokes would be torn apart by the power of Jesus.

I can’t wait to see what God will do!

Love you all! and will make sure to blog the testimonies from this Friday service.
