Hi Everyone!
Welcome to my page! I thank God for the amazing opportunity He has given me. I honestly am amazed by how great our God really is. He has taken me in His hands like the clay in the potters’ hands and is molding me to become a handmaiden to serve in His kingdom…and I can’t wait!!
A little bit about me: I was born in Silver Spring, Md on June 30th, 1985. Both my father and mother are salvadorans and I have a HUGE and wonderful family full of tios, tias, primos y primas who I love. I’ve lived in Maryland my whole life and can’t complain at all. I have been blessed with an education, job, stability,etc. But now It’s time to drop my nets and follow Christ.
I gave my life to Jesus COMPLETELY about 2 years ago. Before that I was living it up worldly style and was the definition of a “lukewarm” christian. I had one foot in church and the other in the world and played the part of a “christian” so well. Went to church every sunday but had NO relationship with Christ. This was no one’s fault but my own and I thank God that He was relentless with me and saved me by His grace. Since I gave my life to Him I have been forever changed…My eyes have been opened and now I crave but one thing: to serve and seek after my Beloved all the days of my life.
Simply put: I want to serve the living God and see His glory manifest on this earth as the apostles did. I want to see lives transformed and above all be found In him, my redeemer.
“For in Him we live, and move, and have our being” Acts 17:28
Here are some fun facts about me:
1. I LOVE sunsets and sunrises! They are my FAVORITE thing in creation!
2. I am a carbaholic…bread, rice, tortillas, YUM.
3. I currently teach High School Spanish and LOVE my kids
4. I used to hate reading…Now, thanks to the Bible, I enjoy it very much and have a nice collection of books 🙂
5. My family is wonderful. They are so unique and so loving. My mom
is the most amazing, inspiring woman I know. God has used her so much
in my life. My Dad is AWESOME…always makes me laugh even when
i’m in a bad mood. One thing he taught me is to never compromise on
your beliefs and christian morals. My brothers are so loving and fun! J&J I love u!
6. I enjoy eating at restaurants alone lol….is that weird?
7. I love quarky (did I spell that right?) people. Like those who are a little
on the weird, eccentric side but who have great stories to tell.
8. I have an amazing church called Believers in Christ. I have never met such
passionate, loving, on fire youth in MY LIFE. They inspire me everyday.
9. I think i’m more introvert than extrovert. I love being around people but most of the time I’m happy being alone, in my room, worship on, chillin.
10. The Old testament FASCINATES me. I know some may think that’s weird but if you read it you would see what I mean.
11. I’m NOT a fan of chocolate
12. I AM a fan of gummy bears (Haribo brand only)
13. After the last two you may think i’m a picky eater, BUT I love tasting new foods…however, I have a feeling I will be stretched to my limit on this one on my trip
14. I’ve been to 7 different Latin-American Countries. I absolutely LOVE Latin-America…the people, the food, the culture. It is awesome…can’t wait to see other cultures on this trip!
15. I want to skydive!
