Launch training has ended. We have spent the last few days together as a squad of 53 world racers, 2 squad leaders, 2 coaches, and several AIM staff. It has been an awesome time of worship, prayer, community, and preparation. We have disposed of any emotional baggage and left it at the foot of the cross. There have been tears, tongues, and healing. It has been as amazing time together as we all prepare to go to our first assignments.

Beginning tomorrow, teams will either leave to travel to their ministry sites or they will begin their ministry work if they are here locally. My team (Team Manna) will be leaving tomorrow afternoon to go to a village in the mountains where we will be working. This will be the first of four mountain villages we will be working in. Personally, I am excited and just ready to get started.

Since we will be in a remote area, we will not have access to internet and we will most likely be camping for three weeks, time to rough it! It actually sounds like we will have to send a couple team members back to San Juan about once a week to buy more food to bring back for the team as well as go online just long enough to post each one of our blogs. In other words, communication will be very limited for at least the next three weeks. But, my team and I are ready to see what God wants to do in these mountain villages.

Please pray for us as we encourage the Christians that are living in these communities, minister to those who have not personally become followers of Christ and to those who may be involved in actively practicing witchcraft. Please pray that God would show us who He wants us to minister to in these communities, what type of ministry He wants us to do in these villages, and that He would give us the words to say to the local Dominican people. Please also pray for our team as this is our first assignment together. Pray that we would be united as one team and one family with a common mission and a common message. Pray for God to provide for our needs where basic things such as food and water may not be readily available. Please pray for safety and health as we go into this area. Finally, please pray that God would speak through us as our team goes into this area that we will bring the presence of the Holy Spirit and He will move in this community and touch the lives of these people.

I know I have already said this, but I cannot wait to see how God is going to use team Manna and our squad this year and I cannot wait to be his vessel to reach first the Dominican people and then other nations of the world.

Your prayers, encouragement, and support are greatly appreciated!
