Last month I did the DR in review with pictures.  I felt that was a great way to show pictures and give an overview of how the month went.  SO… see below for Haiti in pictoral review. 🙂

Welcome to Les Cayes, Haiti!!!
This month one of our squad leaders, Ashley Musick, joined our team for our month of ministry in Les Cayes.  This is a picture from our first day there.  We were at an orphanage that is in the process of being built.  We prayed over the land and Pastor Louis told us all about the plans for the new orpahanage as well as providing information about the other ministries he is involved in.

Carnival 2009
I know I previously posted a blog about Carnival, definitely check it out.  At the time, I didn’t not have sufficient internet connection to post pictures.  Check out the pictures from the event.  First, you can see that things got started on the right foot by prayer and worship at the church, then the party moved out the to street where more than 60,000 people were singing, dancing, and praising God in a moving “Gospel walk” through downtown Les Cayes.

The Orphans
Each person on my team had one or more orphans that they just fell in love with and got attached to.  For Tim, it was Zachary.  For Teri, Claudia; for Amanda, Esperanza; for Ashley, Jefke and Tito; for me, Ashka; and so on.  Here are some of the pics of the kids that we have grown to love and adore over the past month.

Ashka, an 8-year old orphan who stole my heart and that I will greatly miss.
