Today, my beautiful roommate, Kalen Leive, will take the hand of her new, life-long roommate.
The worst part? Her new roommate is a BOY.
[okay, so Dan’s actually a man, not a boy…]
Kalen is the Laverne to my Shirley.
She kept me sane in our final semester of college.
She played in the snow with me.
She did all of the dishes for the entire semester.
She never really judged me when I pulled out my Lady Gaga hairstyles, talked to myself, or danced around our apartment because I had a song stuck in my head.
She never “fixed” me when I was “dying,” but I know she still loved me – whiney and all. 🙂
Dan is an amazing man. I met Dan one summer – when he pulled a huge prank on my roommate Amanda and me … the prank ended up involving the police & a friend in fear of being deported. 🙂
I saw Dan & Kalen a few hours after they were engaged.
As much as I tried to convince them to either a) push the wedding up to before I left for
the WR or b) wait until after I got back, I know that this is THEIR day, not mine.
Kalen & Dan – I could not be happier for you. You two are such amazing people.

Kalen, I love you. I wish I could spend your special day with you, but we both know it’s just impossible. However, you can expect several visits upon my arrival to the U.S. and…I will throw you a baby shower when the time comes. 🙂
