Blog title = line from my favorite country song [Callin’ Baton Rouge – Garth Brooks].

Meet my Teader [team leader] Laura Finley!

At training camp, I made sure to get to know/remember all of the names of the Q. However, for some reason, I could not for the life of me remember Laura. I later confessed this to her… sorry man.

The first time I actually hung out with Laura was during Debrief in Thailand. She was on my friend [and now teammate] Amber’s team. Amber, Laura, Cassie, Tiff, & I went out in Bangkok one day, and Laura held my hand through a painful time. Bada-bing! I knew she was great from the start! ๐Ÿ™‚

That was the same week Laura first led worship for the Q. I remember hearing her voice, and being amazed. I wasn't sure that Laura ever talked let alone belted an insanely breathtaking sound. This woman was AWESOME. She was absolutely stunning. LOVED it + even blogged about her in my End-of-Thailand blog [click here to read].

Insert time period between Thailand + Cambodia. I hung out with Laura & Amber yet again… & when new teams were announced, I found out that Laura was going to be my leader. I was SO excited! She’s an amazing woman.

I have loved getting to know Laura over the past 4 ½ months. She has an amazing heart for God and for the people around her. Her confidence level has soared over the past few months, and she has every right to be confident in the woman God created her to be.

Laura has fought for me, prayed for me, sang to me, laughed with me, hugged me, and loved me. She has been an amazing encourager. She is a phenomenal leader. She is an amazing friend. I love Miss Laura, our little peach-nut, so much!
