Remember my friend Richie from the first night at youth group?

Richie goes to church… sometimes. He is a “ladies’ man.” The girls just love him. 🙂
Richie is so great. I absolutely love him. He has a great heart.
Tonight was our final night at Sinag – Wednesday night youth group.
Tonight was the last chance I may ever have to see Richie.
I looked for him all night.
I never saw him.
It wasn’t until the very end of the night – after worship, after the testimony time, after feeding the youth, right when we were getting ready to sit down to eat… I caught a glimpse of him out of the corner of my eye. He was walking away…
I knew I needed to say goodbye. I knew I needed to speak to him once more.
I went out of the kitchen to find him. He was standing in the room where we had our service.
I told him that this was our last Wednesday night here. He hugged me and thanked me for my prayers. I told him I will continue to pray for him. He is so loved. SO loved.
When I tell him that he is SO loved, he looks at me as if he doesn't believe that God loves him. He looks at me as if I'm crazy for suggesting that God loves him SO SO SO much! I had him look me straight in the eye while I reminded him once again "God loves you SO much. You are His son. You are His prince. Richie, YOU ARE LOVED!"
As I turned to walk away, he smiled and said, “Goodbye. Take care!”
It wasn't much… but it was perfect.
I love Richie. If I have known Richie for 3 weeks and love him this much, how much more does his Father who has known him since before he was born love him?
Richie is SO LOVED.
fyi: The title of this blog means "He is loved" in Tagalog.
