Just a quick update:
This week’s task: building houses.
Team Gozo & Team PLJ were split this week. Gozo went to Tondo; PLJ went to Navotas.
My team – PLJ – was assigned to build a house for an elderly woman at Navotas.
This is Berlita.
This is her house at one stage. We had to first destroy her current house in order to build the new one.
Day 1 was hard for me because there wasn’t much to do. The locals were so helpful & jumped right in. We played with the kids that were in the area.
Day 2 – I was able to help saw a little bit at the beginning, but again, the locals jumped in & did most of the work.
Day 3 – I stayed at the hostel, sick. 
One of my teammates, Jenny, has been sick all week, and we just found out today she has Dengue Fever. Christina missed day 2 because she was sick. Kelsie & Samara of Team Gozo both missed two days.
I’m hoping to be back to house building tomorrow. I’ve slept literally all day today – aside from about 2 hours total – and I still feel super tired/weak. Please pray for the health of my teammates and me.
