These last few weeks have seemed so very long, with all the joy that this season brings it has also brought some sorrow. This will be the first year that my family will go through Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, and many birthdays without our little great grandma around. I know some of you thinks its silly to let this bother me because there are many who were not fortunate enough to even meet their grandparents. However, I’ve lived on this earth for 20 years on the 18th of this month and this will be the first year I don’t get a call from her. Even though sometimes she didn’t remember us she was always there. I am happy she is with God now but there will be a well known difference for my family this holiday season and many more to come as we remember and celebrate. There are great plans in store for each and every one of us and my grandma has taught me so much that I will carry with me through life. This holiday season I ask that you take a few minutes and pray for those going through the Christmas season a little differently than they are use to.
