During month four we were in Pitesti, Romania, working with an amazing church family from Living Hope Church. We often worked in a community called Razboieni, which was a poor community that faced many challenges. Some of these challenges include joblessness, domestic violence, abuse, and poverty. The children’s ministry and Sunday church service there are growing thanks to the church family led by our contact Cristi Golas, who is an amazing man of God. I think it’s safe to say that all 13 of us racers who got the privilege to be in Pitesti made connections with this church family that were stronger than any other month on the race.
