I know this blog is a little late coming, but finally here
is the…. Drum roll please….. video for Honduras!! This month was full of redemption stories- our entire squad
got to meet and live with a group of teenage boys that used to live on the
streets on a very dangerous part of Tegucigalpa. The title of the blog refers to the relationships we got to form with them (and don’t forget that Central Americans give lots of kisses on the cheek!) We also worked in the community where they had lived, Los
Pinos, and worked with a Pastor named Armando. Pastor Armando had connections with other ministries as well
as many hurting people who we were able to visit in various communities. Three of these places were a gang-run
colony on the other side of the city, the city dump, and a live-in rehab center
for men struggling with drugs and alcohol. We also spent a lot of time working on the property, which
is run by an American man named Tony.
We made paths, planted flowers, sifted through rocky soil, and painted
murals on the wall of the main building, which used to be the most popular
nightclub in Tegucigalpa. I hope
you enjoy it!
