With that being said from pt.1 I believe The Lord has impressed something on my heart. If you read my support blog, you would know that I am in need of about $3333.69 to be fully funded. The deadline is March 31st but I was informed that even if my funds do not come in, as long as I am continuing to raise support, they would work with me until the end of the race. As long as I am on the race I am committed to doing what I know to do to raise funds but I believe that The Lord has laid it on my heart to not continue on if the funds are not in at the end of April. This gives me about a month and 1 week to raise the remaining total and if this total does not come in it would be foolish of me to continue on knowing that the money isn't in my account to afford the final 3 countries therefore putting myself in debt having to owe aim.
Romans 13:7-8
7 Pay to all what is owed to them: taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, respect to whom respect is owed, honor to whom honor is owed. 8 Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law.
Also by the end of April, I would feel that I would have done just about everything I can to fundraise and if I remain yet did not fundraise, I'd be dishonoring the authority of Aim, as well as not being a man of my word, therefore dishonoring God.
I have not gotten a clear answer from aim that if I continue on after april and the funds do not come I will owe them, but logical sense says that if they are paying for me to eat, lodge, and travel when I do not have the money in my account, i will owe it at the end. The only answer that I was given was "No one wants you to be in debt to AIM, Rich, and I'm hoping we never need to get to that conversation. There are 4.5 months left on your Race to get the funds in, so let's worry about debt when the time crunch is closer. " I'm appreciative of this answer, i genuinely am, but with all do respect, being that I am eventually going to return home to nothing, I can't afford to wait to talk about debt issues and I need a clear answer in regards to how the operation of financial debt works when and if people owe aim.
