I must say that India has been the most spiritually dark place I've been to on this race. India is filled with false religions, witchcraft, wicked traditions, aggressive behaviors, idols, and much more. The reality is this that the whole world is full of sin that is alive and powerfully active. However, it has been made clear to me that some countries/areas seem to be dominated by certain spirits. I believe I talked a tiny bit about this in another blog, but India wasn't on the list because I hadn't been there yet. Now that I am here let me just say that India is filled with idol worship, false religion, and witchcraft. Demons are at work in this place and one would have to be blind to not see it!
Today I saw the manifestation of a demon at work in a woman who would randomly be compelled to sing demonic hymns and dance. Also every time shed receive prayer shed fall to the ground and lay still. As we surrounded this woman armed to pray we took action and asked her did she want to be delivered of this demon. One teammate says she saw the indication of a NO from the woman, but the translator communicated to us that she said YES! I told her to declare the name of Jesus while we pray.
We all began to lay hands on her and pray, then sure enough she hit the floor and while on the floor she began to squirm vigorously and wrestled and fight, but we held her down as best as we could while boldy praying. I cant really explain what was going on with me, all i know is that i truly felt like a soldier at war against a real and live enemy. Honestly, I was righteously indignant! Her resistance continued for a while until she laid still as though peace had descended upon her. Eventually after tapping her over and over she got up with a bloody wrist from being cut by her bracelet and she immediately headed for the door but the locals grabbed her and she sat back down.
You are probably thinking that this woman was delivered of this demon. Well she wasn't and that's why this event was even more sad. Prior to praying for her the contact said she was saved. Error! It is impossible for her to be saved and possessed with a demon. This woman didn't declare the name of Christ once while being prayed for and when she got up she wanted to storm out the door.
The saddest part of this all is that someone prayed a "sinners prayer" with her to repeat and then two angry men came and made her leave the church. People I wept and my heart was saddened because they believed this woman to be saved and she wasn't. She walked away with no one sharing the gospel of Christ to her and she walked away still filled with a demon controlling her. At that moment I questioned how many of these people here were truly saved. If they were declaring a demon possessed woman who said she believed to be saved then the whole country of India should be saved. True conversion takes place in the heart of a man. Sometimes I question if am I too hard when it comes to salvation but after seeing what I saw, there is no room to play games, souls are dying. We have to stand up and preach! I do not remember this woman's name but I ask that you please pray for her that god would deliver her from darkness because those demons will be back for her!
