It is important that I as one made alive in Christ do away with evil deeds and thoughts. Be holy as I am holy god says and this means to lay down my live in greater depths holding fast to the word of truth. As I make a practice of holiness, persecution shall come, but better is the discipline of the lord than the pleasure of evil. The desire of my heart continually is to live upright before the lord in total adoration of who he is. Though I have not seen you Christ I believe but help me with my unbelief while imparting in me a childlike faith. Let me not be like Thomas your disciple who communed with you, walked with you, followed you, drank from you, saw your glory, chosen by you, yet when you appeared did not believe unless he saw. I hope to always believe because I walk by faith and not by sight. I hope to never narrow my Christian walk down to what I see and don't see but I hope that I would always stand firm on who you are, for you are the lord god almighty, faithful in all you do, and perfect in all your ways. You are the same today, yesterday, and tomorrow, and you are the lifter of bow down heads and a strengthener of weak knees. Do this for me father as I go forward in the faith. Let the love of god be present in my life and let me display it at all times.
Though I fall short you are gracious in dealing with my shortcomings. My heart yearns to live above reproach and be set apart for the work of the lord but this is something I lay down before your cross doing what I know to do, that is look to you. God of heavens and earth and the sustainer of all creation nothing is too hard for thee, and as your word upholds the universe so it can uphold me causing me to never be the same. Please I ask over and over that deception never overtakes me and that I would, know your word, live your word, admonish your word, and proclaim your word, because your word is you. Give me the strength through your spirit to do the work you have called me to do and live the life you have called me to live for I cannot do anything apart from your hand on my life. Let me live as a man of integrity and honor, broken yet complete in spirit. Never let me think of myself as higher than I ought but rather humble myself before you with a tender heart and a poor spirit.
