By the end of this month, Q squad has a financial deadline of $11,000 to reach.
With that being said, Team Breakthrough is in dire need of financial support…a total of $5,075 to be exact.
And here’s the deal, all of my teammates need and want to finish this race. All of my teammates are amazing, wonderful blessings Papa has sent to me. My teammates have become family. There was a moment at the last debrief where I sat in a room with my team and almost started crying. I wanted to cry because I felt so blessed, so honored, and so humbled that I get to share part of my race with these people.
Let’s break it down:
Patrick– Needs $2,500 to reach $11,000 deadline plus another $4,500 to be fully funded. Patrick is my team leader and I’m so glad he is in this leadership position. He puts in hours of work for the team that doesn’t always get recognized. He fights for us, he serves us, and he leads us so well. He is my brother and an amazing man of our Father that has a ton more to do on this race. He has managed to learn the guitar in his free time leading to many nights of worship. Not only does he lead team things, but he pushes me in my walk with Papa. He always has the exact words to say at the exact time I need to hear them.
Aline– Needs $2,000 to reach $11,000 deadline plus another $4,500 to be fully funded. I can’t even begin to say how much Aline has grown over the past 2 months. This race is so much of what she needs right now. Papa has called her to this for the full 11 months. She is wise, thoughtful, and loving. She throws herself into ministry and her niche is in the classroom. When Aline prays, mountains move through her bold faith in the Father.
Parker– Needs $500 to reach $11,000 deadline plus another $4,500 to be fully funded. Parker also serves in a leadership position as Logistics guy for the squad. He plans all the things for debrief for all 46 people of Q squad. He puts in a lot of hours that doesn’t always get recognized. But, everyday is a random adventure with this guy! He has a heart for Papa and pursues Him everyday. He is a quiet, yet bold man of our Father who continues to push me in multiple aspects of my life.
Lindsey– Needs $75 to reach $11,000 deadline plus another $4,500 to be fully funded. I think Lindsey and I are secretly related…like twins, but not. She’s from Michigan and I’m from Indiana, so we both know what “home” is like for one another. We both know what lake effect snow is for goodness sake! But, being completely honest, we have a ton in common. We are both trying to find our voice and identity in our Father over the course of this race. When Lindsey speaks up, she is bold, powerful, and strong. Walking through this race together with Lindsey has helped me a ton with my personal walk with Papa.
By January 1, 2014 we all need to be fully funded! All $15,500. In addition to the 4 above, my other 2 teammates need support to be fully funded.
Marina– Needs $1,000 to be fully funded. Marina is a firecracker! She has already fallen in love with Cambodia (month 2 of our race). Her passion for the country and ministry there overflowed. When a challenge arose, she overcame with the provision of the Father. She has a child-like faith that can’t be shaken. I admire her faith and passion she puts forth for the Kingdom.
Mary Lyn– Needs $400 to be fully funded. She hates math, and yet she is our team treasurer. (Nailed it.) She also puts in a lot of work that isn’t always recognized. Mary Lyn is uber knowledgeable in many categories. She might make stuff up for the areas she doesn’t know as well, but it sounds legit so we believe her! She has a zeal for life and our Father that is contagious to all on the team. She genuinely makes me think in ways that I never would have thought of by myself.
Papa has some amazing things in store for these people over the next 8 months.
