A little fair warning before you read this chaotic little summary: I’m not sure how to write an About page, but hopefully this reflects me well and you walk away feeling like you know me a little better than you did before. 🙂

Starting with the basics-

  1. I’m happiest outside.

  2. Sunsets are my favorite thing of all that exists on this earth. (sidenote- I will obnoxiously remind you repeatedly how pretty the sky is during a condensed period of time. You may or may not choose to be annoyed.)

  3. I have a passion for spending time with disabled or special needs individuals and hope to explore that calling by majoring in Special Education when I return from the World Race!!

  4. I’ve danced and sung my whole life, and that brings me a lot of joy.

  5. I’m a lover of words. (example- my current favorite word is delightful, but I’m sure it’ll change next week.)

  6. If I could choose one skill, it would be art, but unfortunately my only claim to fame is my handwriting. Ask me to draw something and you’ll get a couple of stick figures. (however this hasn’t stopped me from buying countless art supplies hoping that somehow the result will be different) (update- my skills are still pathetically lacking.)

  7. My pet peeve is when someone says something is awkward or embarrassing when it’s not. (quirks are endearing!!!)

  8. I love people. All sorts of people.

  9. I long to travel. My dream has always been to experience God in as many cultures as possible! I think so often people try to take their Americanized Jesus on their cross cultural mission trips and expect results…

  10. Here is my philosophy on that- Jesus is everywhere, and it is an incredible journey to discover Him in a brand new culturally relevant way. Sharing the Gospel comes by loving the people. I’m thirsty to learn everything I can about Thailand, South Africa, and Nicaragua’s customs, hospitality, mysteries, tragedies, novelties, routines, language, poverty, traditions, and so on. I think so many people go on mission trips thinking they will bring change, when in reality they will leave as the ones most impacted.

God willing I will get to go on this trip, I’m just gonna keep prayin’ for the funds. Hope this random little paragraph sufficed as an About Me, but like I said how does one portray who they are in a paragraph?! :’) blessings
