G’day mate!

Hello to those of you that found a post-it note! To those of you just reading this without finding a post-it note, fret not, this will hopefully be good for you too!

I’ll start off by asking, did you know that our God loves you? That He sent His one and only Son to die so that we may have eternal life with Him? How crazy is that? Could you ever imagine sacrificing your child for someone? And even more amazing to think about is the fact that even if you or I was the only person on earth at the time God would not have changed what He did for us!

John 3:16 says “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Ever since I accepted Christ into my heart I have found so much joy; so much freedom. So many of my worries have gone away!

Jeremiah 29:11 says, ““ For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.””

That verse is so freeing! God has a plan for our lives. He doesn’t want us to suffer or for evil to overcome us. He wants us to grow and prosper. And He already has a plan in motion that allows that to happen.

God loves you. Imagine having child. You want your child to know you. You want your child to know that you love him or her unconditionally. That you would do anything for him or her. That’s what God wants us to know. He wants us to know Him. He wants us to know that He loves us. We are His children. We are made in His image.

Genesis 1:26 says, “Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

Not only has God made us in His image, but He has given us authority over this earth. We rule over the land. He has given us so much power and free will. But with that power and free will comes a choice.

God has given us grace through His Son Jesus Christ. Therefore we must follow Jesus Christ. We become new in him.

2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here.”

Through Christ we are made new! That does not mean we now have to be perfect! But it means God is continually working in us. God tugs our heart in new directions. He takes away temptation we have to sin and replaces them with love for others and the need to help others.

We have to follow Christ with all our hearts!

Luke 10:27 says, “He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.”

That is the biggest commandment of God. Just love him and love those around you! God give us grace because He knows there will be times where we make mistakes. But God works in us to free us from those mistakes and gives us the strength to overcome them!

Our God is so good! He has done so much for us and loves us more than we can even fathom! If you took the time to read all the way to the end I thank you!
