** I love you M Squad! **

Since committing to the race, quite a few things have happened.  One thing is how clear and defined God has made His presence in my life.  I have never been more aware of the things He does for me whether they be big or small.  Accepting His involvement in every facet of my life and truly inviting Him into everything has been the biggest burden lifted I've ever experienced, and in that I find freedom!  However it is never fun to realize we are pretty powerless to make things happen but the cool part comes when He lifts us up and uses our faith in Him to do His will.
I am feeling pretty down right about now, but even in the face of my hurt and sadness God shines His light.  He reminds me of all the things He's taught me through this trying time, and how much He has showed me about myself!  All I can do is say is how thankful I am for how much God blesses us and how faithful He is to do it every day!  Sometimes we are too down to see it, which is fine.  Let's face it, though it's the most amazing thing to have a personal relationship with Jesus, it's not always rainbows, sunshine, and unicorns.  We have a lot to learn and He can't wait to teach us but it's definitely not always pretty.
As I have been trucking along on my pre-race, and as I have been following my fellow squadmates on facebook and through their blogs, I have noticed a common denominator; spiritual warfare.  It's not just me the enemy wants to fail, it's anyone who is doing God's will.  Whether it be through my internal stress or listening to lies and whispers from the enemy, or for my squadmates who have worries about fundraising deadlines or random road blocks that are seemingly impassable.  What has helped me these past few days is God's consistency.  As a human being living a troubled world, we can find consistency in two major things; God's goodness and love, and the enemy's intent to harm us.
I'm so thankful that at the end of the day God's got me.  I don't need to worry about anything whether it be rest, grace, mercy, restitution, protection, weariness, God has my back.  I have faith in Him and believe that He is my refuge.  I was veggin' out the other day and watching some VH1, when I heard quite possibly one of my favorite quotes to this day; in the words of K. Michelle (star of Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta), "Don't shake unless you're ready to get shook!"   When I heard that, not only did I laugh because in context it was hilarious.  I also laughed because I can totally hear God saying that to the enemy.  It put in perspective for me how truly powerful our God is and how the enemy only has as much power as we allow him.
