This is my new friend Glory.
What is the first thing you think of when you see her?
The first words i spoke over her are that she is so beautiful! She is not the first thing that I think of when I think of the word beauty, but maybe she should be.
When you think about beauty what do you think about? What's the image that comes in your head?
I have been asking God to change my eyes in the natural and spiritual. As I am leading and serving God's people I have been asking him to change the way I see his people. I don't want to see their actions I want to see the depths of who they are. Sometimes that is more than I can handle as I hear and see all of the hurt and baggage that people are carrying.
As you look at this picture of Glory do two things:
One, pray for her as she is in a hospital here in Malaysia. She was abandoned at birth by a young mother who had to have taken some substances that harmed Glory. Glory is one year old, she has downs syndrome, she cannot hear, speak or walk and she has two holes in her heart. Right now she is in the hospital because she cannot keep food in her stomach. Pray for a miracle over her life!
Two, pray for God to change your eyes. Pray that he would open you up to see His people and the beauty within them.
The doctors that are taking care of Glory said there is not hope. I choose to believe that that is not true. No matter how long her life may be God calls her beautiful and God has a plan for her life.
Choose to allow God to change your spiritual eyes. You may be surprised at what you see.
