Hello…
(It’s me)
I am a 23 year old recent graduate of West Virginia University with a degree in Marketing. During my time at WVU, I worked as a social media marketing consultant, flew through the trees as a zip-line guide, and taught yoga among other things! I have many hobbies including tae kwon do, backpacking, rock-climbing, mountain biking, kayaking, and snowboarding.
Answering the simple question, “Where are you from?” is not as easy as you would think… I was born in a town called Clarksburg, raised in a place called Fairmont, went to school in Morgantown, and have since relocated to Charlotte, NC. Each place has a special place in my heart.
There is one main theme in my life that continues to make itself known in the captions of my greatest memories. God has called me into a great adventure. It’s one marked by risk, boldness, and mystery. I like to push myself, test the limits – like a child jumping off the porch into his father’s arms. God always shows up in those moments to catch me. He meets me there, in the wilderness.
God found me at a very young age, and began shaping and molding me. I felt God calling me to the ministry at a church camp when I was 12, but after years spent away from the Faith I felt disqualified. Sin had crept into my life and built a wall between the Father and me. It was only recently that forgiveness and God’s grace opened my ears to the echo of that calling, and now I am pressing forward to the goal which God has set before me.
I’ve served as a worship leader and worked in our church’s college ministry. In 2014, I served on a short term mission team to Honduras and returned this past summer to help build a home, provide medical care, and minister to the local children.
After graduation, I had no plans… just options. They all seemed like “good” ideas – graduate school, jobs, travel – but none felt like the “right” idea. Then I stumbled on the World Race. God made Himself clear, sign after sign, that this was where He wanted me. Now, He I am on an adventure of a lifetime and I’m excited to share it with you!
