My family has been going through a difficult time this year with my younger brother, and they have connected with some other parents who have faced similar situations. The friendships that they have formed during this time have proven to be exactly what my parents were lacking in community before this difficult season. I believe these friendships will last because they are Christ-centered and were formed in a hardship.
In light of Michael’s post about his mom’s struggles with him going on the Race and my family’s situation with my brother, I was thinking we could generate some type of support system for our parents. I find interacting with other people who have gone or are going through a similar situation helps tremendously. We could generate a contact information list with e-mails, skype accounts, phone numbers, ect for close family members or friends. . . It could include whatever information you guys think would be best. I’d be more than willing to collect the information and assemble a list.
Just let me know your thoughts on this idea. Miss you all! We should have a massive S-squad hug in L.A. See you in a month!
